This vessel, the Volcan de Tijarafe passes twice weekly in the port of Funchal. It belongs to the Spanish company Naviera Armas, with headquarters in the Canary Islands. The first passage is Saturday. Come to Gran Canaria and leaves Madeira towards Portimaão in southern Portugal. Come back to Funchal on Monday, the same day the she leaves for Tenerife, in Canary Islands.
Because it is a ferry carries passengers, cars and cargo.

Naviera Armas changes the message and is replaced by writing that "there is much more that unites us than what divides us," a link to the weekly trips between the Canary Islands, Madeira and Portimão on the Algarve, Portugal.

As in all Mondays, the ferry Volcan de Tijarafe comes quietly in the distance, on Garajau rock, and arrives at Funchal, coming from Portimão, Algrave in southern Portugal. At the end of the day goes to Tenerife, Canary Islands, and returns to Madeira on Saturday, after going through another Spanish island, Gran Canaria.

I always loved the notion of the use of space on each ship and the solutions that the designers have to be it most functional. This right wing, or starboard, to use the language at sea, in the Volcan de Tijarafe, of the Naviera Armas, does not arise because there is no space on the bridge but to assist in maneuvering in and out of ports.

From July 30 to August 1 back to Madeira roads another rally, the Rally Vinho Madeira (Madeira wine rally) one of the top in Europe. This photo shows the car of pilot's Peugeot Portuguese Bruno Magalhães, national champion a few times. The car came to Funchal in this days and stay now on a French brand stand.

During the winter season of the ship Aidabella passed in Funchal each sundays and mondays, in a week cruising the Atlantic. With passengers mostly german, the ship as the other's Aida Cruises, is characterized by stylized paintings on the hull.
