North Star, this is the name of a new experience provided aboard a cruise ship. I was privileged to experience when the "Anthem of the Seas" made the first stop in Madeira on last 25 May and see the view from the top of its 91 meters, on a basis that is well above the deck which has one of the pools in top on a ship that besides long is high.
This photograph shows one of the moments up there, overlooking the front of the ship and the port of Funchal.

North Star, este é o nome de uma nova experiência proporcionada a bordo de um navio de cruzeiros. Tive o privilégio de experimentar quando o "Anthem of the Seas" fez a primeira escala à Madeira no último dia 25 de maio e de poder ver a vista lá do alto dos seus 91 metros, numa base que está bem acima do convés onde tem uma das piscinas no topo, num navio que além de comprido é alto.
Esta fotografia mostra um dos momentos lá em cima, com vista para a frente do navio e para o porto do Funchal.
This name has to do with the Marina Shopping - Infante Comercial center. Today is separated from the building due to works that altered the course of small rivers.
I made this photograph because the configuration jumped me in sight with those flowers on top.

These are some pictures I made yesterday, the first day fire firework inserted into the Atlantic Festival 2015. As in previous years, took place at outer pier of the Port of Funchal to highlight the show to people in town.
The pyromusical show was performed by the French company Storm Artificies and had as its theme: "Mélody girls".

Estas foram algumas fotografias que fiz ontem, o primeiro dia de fogo-de-artifício inserido no Festival do Atlântico 2015. Tal como nos anos anteriores, decorreu na extremidade do Porto do Funchal para ponteciar o espectáculo para a cidade.
O espetáculo piromusical foi realizado pela empresa francesa Storm Artificies e teve como tema: "Mélody girls".

Gone are the days when the port of Funchal was full of cruise ships. Now we are entering a period in which the wood is little sought for tourism by sea.
