In one of my visits to Funchal Marina I found this beautiful image in the stern of a sailboat, where often only see the name and port of registry. It is a way to innovate and, surely, with dedication. The world needs these little touches. We can not always accommodate and make the same as others

This boot is from Cristiano Ronaldo, the greatest soccer player in the world. It is signed by Real Madrid player who will be a key player in Portugal's national team, which yesterday got the passport to the world of football cup next year, in summer, that takes place in South Africa.
I found this blue boots this week, on Monday, during a visit I made on board the cruise ship Island Escape, which makes weekly trips with regular tours to Funchal, Morocco and some islands of the Canaries.
Are in a wall of the vessel where that has a nice collection of important pieces of a variety of international sports.
And why I speak specifically of the boot of Ronaldo? Because, in addition to dribble a ball, pulled a fantastic and should be in the shot, has another very important feature that is ... that even born on the island of Madeira, more specifically in this beautiful city of Funchal.

The City hall of Funchal (pictured) joined the World Diabetes Day which is celebrated on 14 November. Responded positively to the invitation by the International Diabetes Federation and lit the blue one of the main squares of the city, the Município.
The City hall building came blue came last Monday, and the Museum of Sacred Art and the Church of the College too.
I must confess that the first day I saw, after 23 hours, it seemed that he was entering the twilight zone. There was nobody in the street where I walked alone.
However, on Saturday in the World Day that I took the picture, I saw lights of other colors to interfere with the symbolism that was intended to be blue.
In any case, is to increase public awareness in support of a cause that is growing leaven in the world.
The lights were lit up the early morning today.

One of the many beaches the islands have. The St. Lazarus beach. Have small stones rounded and smoothed by the constant coming and going of the waves. We can say that is a distinguishing factor of the island.

In the port of Funchal, although the movement of ships is increasing throughout the year, is characterized by two times of high intensity. In April, some cruise ships that make cruises in the Caribbean and throughout that area, traveling to Europe where they are positioned to travel in the summer in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe. With the arrival of autumn in Europe, with the leaves falling from the trees, the ships which came to warm in the sun make the way around. As they say here, after they come "up", in November go "down" as I shown in the picture I have take in the other day, with a Holland America ship go "down". In this picture we can see also the tower of the Convent of Santa Clara on the left.

Cruise ships are betting increasingly diversified access for passengers. In the Independence of the Seas, the company has created conditions for them to surf the bow of the ship, with the wind to the face and nothing else ahead unless the sea.
