É verdade, o Pacif Dream, que nos acompanhou todas as sextas-feira desde há muitos meses numa operação pioneira da Pullmantur Cruises no Verão IATA, faz hoje a sua última viagem ao Funchal neste programa. Segue para Lisboa e depois Mediterrâneo, antes de marcar rumo para a América Latina.

O rebocador, à esquerda, dá as boas-vindas com jactos de água. O AIDAluna está hoje entre nós. É a primeira de muitas escalas que irá fazer à ilha da Madeira. Regressa já no domingo, e nos próximos, até meados de Abril de 2010. AIDA Cruises é uma companhia alemã que trabalha com aquele mercado e os mercados vizinhos.

The church de S. Gonçalo is one of the most photographed city, not the beauty in particular, but the framework that you get when take pictures from east side of Funchal to all weste, including the huge bay. This image is not an example, because this was not my purpose. Just I wanted to attach it to the ship at sea wolf one more trip back from the island of Porto Santo.

A igreja de São Gonçalo é uma das mas mais fotografadas da cidade, não pela sua beleza em particular, mas pelo enquadramento que se obtém quando se tiram fotografias do lado este do Funchal para todo o outro, incluindo a imensa baía. Esta imagem não é exemplo disso, porque não foi esse o meu propósito. Apenas quis juntá-la ao navio Lobo Marinho em mais uma viagem de regresso da ilha do Porto Santo.
A historic building from the city center, there are several panels of mosaics with these colors, blue and white, which portray the experiences of other times on the island of Madeira.
In this case, refers to the train, traveling between the lower par of the city and high on Monte e Terreiro da Luta, during the first half of the twentieth century. Num edifício histórico do centro da cidade, existem vários painéis de mosaicos com estas cores, azuis e brancas, que retratam vivências de outros tempos na ilha da Madeira. Neste caso concreto, refere-se ao comboio, que viajava todos os dias entre a parte baixa e a alta, no Monte e Terreiro da Luta, durante a primeira metade do século XX. Alguns acidentes, devido às características da linha, muito íngreme, aliado à segunda guerra mundial ditaram o seu afastamento. Ficou o nome a todo percurso: Rua do Comboio.
À direita pode ver-se ainda um outro transporte, este muito típico, e que ainda está em plena actividade, com o transporte de turistas do Monte para uma zona mais baixa da cidade.

Gardens to the south of the Palace of São Lourenço, a monument built in the sixteenth century that is now headquarters of the army and the official residence of the representative of the Portuguese Republic in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
I think it can be used for other purposes, although a part of the building is open to visitors.

Considero uma pena que não seja utilizado para outros fins, pese embora uma parte do edifício seja visitável.

Está a olhar para si. A lagartixa da Madeira é uma espécie de lagarto pertencente à família Lacertidae. É uma espécie endémica da ilha, onde existe em grande número. Pode atingir os 20 cm de comprimento, apesar dos adultos terem, normalmente, entre 10a 15 cm.
Ao contrário de outras congéneres são dóceis. Podem ser manipuladas com facilidade, uma característica que se admite tenha sido desenvolvida durante a sua evolução num território sem predadores terrestres, o que faz com estes seres também se aproximem dos seres humanos em busca de comida.
The ferry Lobo Marinho, returns for one more day trip to Porto Santo, the second largest island of Madeira archipelago. O ferry Lobo Marinho, regressa de mais uma viagem diária ao Porto Santo, a segunda maior ilha do arquipélago da Madeira. No verão, chega a fazer duas viagens por dia em cada sentido, para responder à procura pela ilha que é conhecida pela sua extensa praia de sete quilómetros de areia dourada. Por isso, também a chamam "Ilha dourada", um pouco também à cor que adquire toda a ilha no Verão, mais seco.
