Telhados da cidade, com árvores a emergirem entre os telhados. Nesta fotografia sobressai uma chaminé antiga que penso ser da antiga confeitaria Lua, na Rua da Carreira.
Na referida chaminé vemos o que parecem ser degraus, o que, a ser assim, seriam um desafio para quem a tinha de subir esta escada.

These devices are the little that remains of the former Torreão factory, who transforming some years ago sugar cane into sugar. The building and its history was dismantled to build a garden. The Torreão Factory was founded by William Hinton & Co in 1856.
As the engine had water, but when it was scarce in summer, the movement was established by a steam engine.
The unit closed in the 80s. It was considered one of the most remarkable plants in the city and regarded as the most perfect in the world, since its power production reaches 500 tonnes of cane in 24 hours.
These devices can be seen at the Gardens of Santa Luzia, who came in place of the factory, whose entrance is free.

Estes equipamentos podem ser vistos nos Jardins de Santa Luzia, que surgiu no lugar da fábrica, cuja entrada é gratuita.
