Looks like a monster but it is not. This is a setting on the rocky coast of Funchal. It is called Ponta da Cruz (you can see the cross up there) and besides being the most southerly point of the island of Madeira is also the most southern point of Portugal with people. This is because, without inhabitants, Madeira also has two island groups to the south: the Desertas, closer, we can see from the Madeira, and the Selvagens (wild), coming to be closer to the Canary Islands than the archipelago to which they belong.

That's life. Yesterday showed the first voyage of a cruise ship in Madeira. Today is the opposite. The Black Prince, of Fred. Olsen Lines has made the last pass in the port of Funchal. Since the first trip in 60 years, until yesterday, made 594 passes in Madeira island. Has the record. The ship is now in the Canary Islands. After passing through Lisbon, Portugal. He returned to Southampton in southern England, where he ends this latter cruise. In that day, 16 October, he no longer belongs to the european company. It was purchased by a Venezuelan company, the SAVECA, which will use it to cruises in those waters named Esmeralda. The reason the sale has to do with international requirements in safety Solas, which would oblige the great works on the ship, which does not seem to be necessary in Venezuela.

A vida é assim. Olsen Lines fez a última passagem no porto do Funchal.
Another day of baptism in Funchal port. The Vision of the Seas, although not a new ship this year alone, passed on Madeira island on April or May due to the change of season and position in Europe to make summer cruises.
