AIDAsol cruise ship will return today to Funchal port. Next monday came again and going out on mondays. She we will do the same next sunday and depart on mondays and and repeat until april 2013. It's the winter season for the AIDA Cruises cruise ship.

O navio de cruzeiros AIDAsol regressa hoje ao Porto do Funchal. No domingo volta outra vez para sair na segunda-feira. O navio volta a fazer o mesmo no domingo e parte na segunda-feira. Irá repetir as escalas até o fim de abril de 2013. É a época de inverno do navio da AIDA Cruises que trabalha mais com o mercado alemão e países limítrofes.
Funchal city has done some works for the benefit of the pedestrians. Where were streets, now exists wide spaces to walking. Avenida Arriaga is an exemple of that.

A cidade do Funchal tem feito alguns trabalhos em benefício dos peões. Onde eram estradas agora existem espaços amplos para caminhar. A Avenida Arriaga é um exemplo disso mesmo.
The origins of the Madeira Wine Company started in 1913 when two companies, Welsh & Cunha and Henriques & Camara, joined forces to form the Madeira Wine Association Lda. Through the lean years that followed more companies joined to ensure their survival by reducing costs and pooling production whilst maintaining commercial independence. Blandy’s and Leacock’s amalgamated their interests and joined the association in 1925. Other companies all joined the association in the years that followed. The spirit of the union, ably organised by Tom Mullins, was to maintain the individuality of the different companies together with their respective styles of wines while at the same time reducing overheads.

Ao longo dos anos de vacas magras que se seguiram as empresas juntaram-se para garantir a sua sobrevivência, reduzindo os custos e partilha de produção, mantendo a independência comercial. Blandy e Leacock juntam-se à associação em 1925. Esta fotografia é das Adegas de São Francisco que podem ser visitadas. Outras empresas todos se juntaram à associação, nos anos que se seguiram. O espírito de união, habilmente organizada por Tom Mullins, foi a de manter a individualidade das diferentes empresas, juntamente com seus respectivos estilos de vinhos e, ao mesmo tempo, reduzir as despesas gerais.

This is not a new photo and have some months. But I find it and I like the composition with the water jets from the tug and all the sailing boats starting a race to the other side of the Atlantic ocean.

Esta fotografia não é nova. Tem alguns meses. Mas encontrei-a e gostei da composição com os jactos de água desde o rebocador do Porto do Funchal e todos aqueles barcos à vela a começarem uma regata que os levaria até ao outro lado do oceano Atlântico.
I like flowers but normaly I don't now the name. This is an exemple. But I like this colors and I take a picture. You can see them in a little church near Jardim Municipal, the presbyterian church.

Quinta Vigia has beautifull gardens that can be visited for free. In this photo, where you see the geometrics figures on the top left, it was a tennis court until some years ago.

The Saborável factory was born in 1905 in Funchal. It's principal production is the traditional sweets regional Madeira Island. Today have some 160 products Saborável, many variants, fruit development and innovation of traditional recipes.
