Christmas lights
Funchal has at Christmas and at the end of the year, one of its main touristic attractions. The streets are lit with many different colors and shapes. This is a way to show some of the lights on one of the main street of the city, the Aljube, reflected in the windows of a Portuguese bank, near the cathedral.

O Funchal tem no Natal e no fim do ano, um dos seus principais cartazes turísticos. As ruas são iluminadas com muitas cores e formas diversas. Esta é uma forma de mostrar uma parte das iluminações numa das principais ruas da cidade, a do Aljube, reflectida nos vidros de um banco português, perto da catedral.

ResponderEliminarI just got back from a transatlantic cruise on the Independence of the Seas of Royal Carribean...our last port before crossing the Atlantic was Funchal!!! Paulo, what a beautiful city and island you live on!!! It was absolutely charming! I was traveling with a group of friends and we all agreed that Funchal is destined to be a return trip for a more extended period of time! I have to admit though, one of the highlights of my visit there, was the ride down the hillside streets on the Monte Toboggan ride!!! Thank you for introducing me to your beautiful island via your beautiful blog!!! I truly enjoyed visiting there!
