This was the latest European Golden Shoe won by the Portuguese footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo, who was born in Funchal, Madeira. It's exhibited in the Museum CR7 that brings together in Madeira the entire collection of awards, distinctions and many other things related to the Real Madrid player and selection of Portugal.

Esta foi a última bota de ouro conquistada pelo jogador de futebol português, Cristiano Ronaldo, que nasceu no Funchal, na Madeira. Está exposta no Museu CR7 que reúne na ilha da Madeira toda a coleção de prémios, distinções e muitas outras coisas relacionadas com o jogador do Real Madrid e da Seleção de Portugal.

This morning there was a solar eclipse.
In Funchal was visible for a few moments, one morning with many clouds. I have not had opportunity to capture the eclipse because I had other things to do but always got this photo during the period when it was happening and to leave the city with a dark and dimmed light.
Here, the sun's rays that the moon was not covering tear through the clouds.

Esta manhã aconteceu um eclipse do sol.
No Funchal foi visível por alguns momentos, numa manhã com muitas nuvens. Eu não tive oportunidade de captar o eclipse porque tinha outras coisas a fazer mas sempre consegui este momento durante o período em que estava a acontecer e a deixar a cidade com uma luz escura e esbatida.
Aqui, os raios do sol que a lua não tapava rasgam por entre as nuvens.

This is a low relief unveiled these days in Funchal.
It is a tribute to Bernard Harvey Foster who brought to Madeira in 1904 the first car.
The idea of this tribute was it's for the economist Eduardo Jesus who just released a book about that historic moment.

 Este é um baixo relevo descerrado por estes dias na cidade do Funchal.
É uma homenagem a Bernard Harvey Foster que trouxe à Madeira em 1904 o primeiro automóvel.
A ideia desta homenagem nasceu do economista madeirense Eduardo Jesus que acaba de lançar um livro acerca daquele momento histórico.

My photos are increasingly the result of a chance.

As minhas fotografias são cada vez mais fruto do acaso.
Quando saio de casa com o intuito de fotografar regresso com uma ou duas para não vir sem nada. Tudo isto para dizer que a minha fotografia se evidencia pelo momento.
Esta foto foi um desses momentos.

No domingo de manhã fui comprar pão e este quadro chamou-me como um íman. Procurei o melhor enquadramento entre o real e o reflectido nos vidos laterais do centro Comercial Dolce Vita e click.

The Christian Radich was in Madeira recently.
This is a sailboat that usually make stops regularly at the port of Funchal. She is a Norwegian full-rigged ship. The vessel was built in Norway, and was delivered on 17 June 1937. The owner was The Christian Radich Sail Training Foundation established by a grant from an officer of that name. The crew is 18 altogether. It can accommodate 88 passengers.
The vessel was built for training sailors for the Norwegian merchant navy, and did so for many years. From 1999 and on, the ship has been on the charter market as well as sailing with paying trainees to foreign ports on summer trips, and large sail events in various European ports.

I visited the Museum CR7 one of these days. It was the second time I was there.
This was one of many photos I did.
I tried frame the picture of Cristiano Ronaldo with the third FIFA ballon d'Or he won.
I tried to fit the golden ball on his foot and I think I succeeded.

Visitei o Museu CR7 um destes dias. Foi a segunda vez que estive lá.
Esta foi uma das muitas fotos que fiz.
Procurei enquadrar a fotografia de Cristiano Ronaldo com a terceira bola de ouro que conquistou. Tentei encaixar a bola de ouro no seu pé e penso que consegui.

This is the beach Almirante Reis, created artificially. Behind can be seen two cruise ships in the port of Funchal.

This is the statue soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo, considered the best in the world.
Real Madrid's Portuguese athlete and has the particularity of being born precisely in the city of Funchal.
I might add that the player has also Madeira CR7 Museum where all the awards and accolades it has won during his career, which features three gold balls.
