Parece, mas não é. Não se trata de uma ananás, abacaxi ou outro fruto desta "família". São duas plantas nos jardins do Museu da Quinta das Cruzes. No primeiro plano, um rebento de uma palmeira, e, lá atrás, as folhas de uma planta que "coloquei" de propósito neste enquadramento para criar a ilusão.
Recently held an exhibition of vintage motorcycles in Funchal, in the space created for this purpose in the Regional Secretariat of Tourism and Transport. Among the examples that I met, I saw this. This is not a motorcycle. It's just a kind of bicycle or tricycle very, very old.
Recentemente, realizou-se uma exposição de motas antigas no Funchal, no espaço criado para o efeito na Secretaria Regional do Turismo e Transportes. Entre os exemplares que lá encontrei, vi este. Não se trata de uma mota, antes de uma espécie de bicicleta ou de triciclo muito, muito antigo.
One of the windows of the cathedral of Funchal, the oldest most monument of the island. Construction began in the late fifteenth year of the discovery of Madeira by the Portuguese and continued by the beginning of the next century. Over the years have been remodeled. I could say that is a magnificent monument, but as I am not "painter". I say that has its own architecture, and undoubtedly value.

Uma das janelas da sé do Funchal, o monumento mais antigo da ilha. A construção começou no final do século XV, ano da descoberta da Madeira pelos portugueses, e prolongou-se pelo início do seguinte. Ao longo dos tempos têm sido obras de restauro. Poderia dizer que é um monumento magnífico, mas como não sou "pintor", digo que tem a sua arquitectura própria, e, indiscutivelmente valor.
Today it is still so improvised that it embarks on the port of Funchal, where there are't physical structures to do so. But from the beginning of 2009 everything will be changed to the gare under construction and ready for embarkation and disembarkation with quality and comfort.

The Costa Fortuna, a Costa Cruises ship, in one of its stops in Funchal port. This view of the viewpoint of Cruzes, shows another side of a ship of a company (known by the C in the funnel) that comes to Funchal for decades.
O navio Costa Fortuna, da Costa Cruises, numa das suas escalas no porto do Funchal. Esta vista do miradouro das Cruzes, mostra uma perspectiva diferente de um navio de uma companhia (conhecida pelo C na chaminé) que vem ao Funchal há dezenas de anos.
The island that we see, there in the distance, is called Deserta Grande. It is part of a set of islands called Desertas. They are uninhabited, although guards of the Natural Park of Madeira, which preserve the Desertas Islands Nature Reserve. There is one of the rare colonies of sea-wolf, who is recovering population.
The Desertas, situated southeast of Madeira, are composed of three islands: Ilhéu Chão, Deserta Grande and Bugio.

We put our feet daily in art on ground, maked from the hands of craftsmen who fortunately continue to awaken the younger generation.
