The sun rising near the Desertas islands in a photo where we see part of Funchal city and tge spanish sailboat Juan Sebastián de Elcano waiting since yesterday to go in Funchal port where is now until february 4th.
One day I went through the Marina of Funchal. Passing by one of the sailboats I saw a piece of paper what attracted my attention. Showing its location on the island of Madeira and the direction it would take to get to Cape Verde. What I conclude is that not always the closest road is the fastest, at least in terms of sailing. As you can see, the best course is to catch the snake best winds.
