Funchal celebrated 501 years since it became a city. It was on August 21. A day filled with too many cultural and recreational activities. One of them was the action with the team of Asas de Portugal (wings of Portugal), which brighten the skies for decades. It was a return to Funchal, after having acted on the anniversary of 500 years, last year.

In this image you can be seen the two planes that danced in the air brushing the skies with framed art that their speed quickly extinguished.

And with the city looking to the air, I thought of the war, where the same noise of this type of aircraft, away from the works of art, are a serious warning to hide in the nearest shelter. A scenario that would completely banned.

O Funchal celebrou os 501 anos desde que foi elevada a cidade. Foi no dia 21 de Agosto. Um dia muito preenchido com diversas actividades culturais e recreativas. Uma delas foi a actuação da reputada equipa dos Asas de Portugal, que há décadas abrilhantam os céus. Foi um regresso ao Funchal, depois de terem actuada no aniversário dos 500 anos, o ano passado.

Nesta imagem podem ver-se os dois aviões que bailaram no ar pincelando os céus com quadros artísticos que a sua velocidade depressa apagava.

E, com a cidade de olhos postos no ar, pensei nas guerras, onde o barulho deste tipo de aviões, longe das obras de arte, constituem um sério aviso para se esconder no abrigo mais próximo. Um cenário que deveria completamente banido.
